I've read several books which worked with this core theme, but this one is definitely one of the best.Yes, you will figure out some of the mysteries well before they are revealed, but I promise you will still be shocked by the many wheels within wheels that you didn't even realize were lurking behind the next page.
Mesmer composed his plot like a concerto, slowly weaving in more voices, delicately building and intensifying all the way to an amazing crescendo. The only reason it did not get five stars from me was the little jazz riff at the end; it was totally anti-climaxtic, though I'll still be reading more of his work.

Story line too far fetched. Way too many characters and aliases for characters. Just not believable. Disappointing read from beginning to end.
A very good, very important read. The story about a woman in a forced marriage, but interspersed is info on how and why forced marriages occur.
Lots of twists and turns. Kept me interested. Believable characters.
Mesmer always represents. Great story, great plot, then cuts to the end before it gets boring. Great read, highly recommend.

I liked the story line a lot. And I was especially happy to see only a few grammatical errors. Lately some books are so full of spelling and grammar errors, it's hard to read them. Not so, here.
I have read most of Mesmer's novels and lived them all. This one was the best. The research was excellent. Science and finances and more. Details and exciting characters. Must read his books!
An interesting plot and a fast read are indicative of any short stories by Mr. Mesmer and this one is no exception. There are, however, way too many coincidences used to move the story along. A victim is the sister of a scientist who is the girlfriend of the guy who is employed by the villain and accidentally as well by his nemesis whose granddaughter ends up another victim of the bad guy. You get the picture. The ending is quite a surprise, but believable if you stretch your imagination sufficiently. I've actually become a fan of the author after reading quite a few of his stories and have been pleasantly watching his growth as a writer. He still needs a better editor, but the number of missing words and other errors has improved over time.
